New Yorkers are feeling lit – from the Rockefeller tree lighting to Andrew Cuomo’s apparent support to introduce a bill in 2019 that would legalize recreational marijuana in New York; making New York the 11th state to ‘legalize it’.

Cuomo said New York has a team crafting a bill that could make New Yorker’s be voting on legalization come next year. Which means the Big Apple can be burning it down in the very, very near future.

“We now have a working group that is putting together a piece of legislation that would do it, because the devil is in the details: How do you do it, where do you do it, what are the ages, etc.? What is New Jersey doing? What has Massachusetts done?”

“So that legislation is being crafted,” he added. “I expect it to be introduced next year. The when and the how, we’re not clear.”

It almost seems too good to be true, and Native New Yorker’s are celebrating online.

While some commenters replied with a “Nah that ain’t it… “, others offered more enthusiasm posting pictures of the statue of liberty with a joint.

All we have to say is finally and thank you 🙏
