The beloved Swedish House Mafia have announced they are regrouping.
The trio – Steve Angello, Seb Ingrosso and Axwell – made the announcement at a press conference and die-hard fans have been going nuts since.
And it’s little wonder.
The DJs created some of the biggest modern anthems that are regularly played in clubs to this day. Cast your ears to hits like Don’t You Worry Child, Save the World, One, and Miami 2 Ibiza.
You can check out the press conference below but it’s only in Swedish. It’s still fun to read along with the live chat and see the wild predictions that people were making. If the energy in the chat is anything to go by, Swedish House Mafia have some insane shows coming up:
The trio performed in Miami earlier this year which launched a huge flurry of rumours. The show was their first since they split up on June 24, 2012 (yes, it has been that long!).
Swedish House mafia formed in 2008 and had four years at the absolute top of their game, so expectations are high. Judging by the press conference they’re ready to deliver, saying:
“It will not be a new rougher type music like what is popular right now, it will stay Swedish House Mafia style.”
This is just what fans wanted to hear. These days many people wish they could roll back the clock to 2012 and perhaps some awesome new tunes from Swedish House Mafia can take us all back to that simpler time in some way!
Keeping track of fan reactions on Twitter is already completely awesome and we recommend that you check it out!
