Chicago police are searching for the killer of a 28-year-old West Side man who was shot to death in a chilling video posted to Facebook on Wednesday night.
Antonio Perkins was shot and killed at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday on the 1600 block of South Drake Street in Chicago’s Lawndale neighborhood. He and several friends were recording themselves in a video on Facebook Live when a man approached and began shooting. Perkins was immediately hit with a bullet and dropped to the pavement. He was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The killer’s motive is currently unknown.
Shots were fired at the 5:53 mark in the video, and Antonio goes down immediately, leading us to believe he was the intended target of the gunfire. More details will be provided as they become available.
